Healthcare Assistant

Job Description



Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate and personalised care to patients in a home or community setting.
  2. Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, mobility, and nutritional needs.
  3. Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring the well-being of patients.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  5. Offer emotional support and companionship to patients.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  7. Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a healthcare assistant or similar role.
  2. Completion of a recognised healthcare assistant training programme.
  3. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  8. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is a plus.

    Hours: Full-Time, Part-Time, Weekends, Bank,

    Salary:Rate from £11.72 - £14.50 per hour (dependant on qualifications)
